At Your Art Matters Studio, there are lots of ways to explore your creativity. Choose a class, workshop, or creative experience that fits you, your family, or your group.
YAMS offers art experiences for young artists, adults, families, and mixed-age groups. Experiences may take place in my studio or through YAMS On the Go, bringing the creativity to you.
Young Artists
Creative experiences designed to encourage curiosity, confidence, and self-expression.
Young artists explore a variety of materials and techniques, including painting, drawing, clay, printmaking, collage, mixed media, and more. Classes and workshops may also incorporate inspiring artists, art history, and opportunities to connect creativity with the world around us.

Explore a variety of hands-on creative experiences, from painting and mixed media to seasonal crafts, clay, and special projects. Some workshops may be inspired by the season, a particular artist, or simply a fun idea I can't resist trying!
No previous art experience is necessary. Come ready to experiment, make something of your own, and enjoy some creative time.

Creative Time for Adults
Holiday Wreath Workshop - Oct. 14, 2026 3:00-5:00 pm
After The Sipping Flea closes, the tables become our creative workshop. Join me for a cozy afternoon of wreath making, creativity, and conversation as we create an 18-inch grapevine wreath inspired by the natural textures and traditional charm of Colonial Williamsburg.
We’ll work with a beautiful mix of dried fruit slices, pine cones, seed pods, faux pine needles, leaves, berries, ribbon, and other seasonal elements. Each wreath will have its own personality, and you’ll have the freedom to make it yours.

Private Winter/Holiday Door Mat Painting- Nov. 4, 2026 6:00-8:00 pm
Welcome the season with a little creativity! In this festive, hands-on workshop, you’ll transform a natural coir door mat into a personalized piece of art for your home. Choose from winter-inspired designs, holiday images, or playful seasonal patterns to create a one-of-a-kind welcome for family and friends.
No previous painting experience is needed—just bring your imagination and enjoy an evening of creative exploration. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a festive, handmade door mat ready to greet your holiday guests!

Family and Mixed-Age Workshops
